Station Road Renovation
Sept - Dec 2025
About This Project
This Station Road renovation reimagined the main floor of a long-loved home for a semi-retired couple ready to finally bring their original vision to life. After 12 years in the space, they wanted to address long-standing design challenges, improve flow, and create brighter, more functional interiors that better suited this next chapter.
The renovation focused on opening up key areas of the home, modernizing dated finishes, and reworking the layout to make better use of the available square footage. Major updates included a fully transformed primary ensuite, a redesigned kitchen with improved connection to adjoining rooms, and refreshed living spaces that now feel cohesive and intentional. Even previously underused areas were reimagined to ensure every part of the main floor serves a purpose.
Completed between September and December 2025, this full-gut renovation resulted in a comfortable, modern home that feels open, balanced, and thoughtfully tailored to our clients’ lifestyle today.
Transformation Highlights
Entryway & Living Spaces
The transformation begins at the entryway. An unused water feature that once interrupted the foyer was removed to create a clear and welcoming transition into the home. This simple but impactful change immediately improved flow and allowed the scale of the space to be appreciated.
In the formal living room, vaulted ceilings were finally given the attention they deserved. The existing fireplace felt undersized and dated, so a modern insert paired with full-height wall detailing now draws the eye upward and adds architectural presence. Carrying similar detailing into the family room creates continuity across the main floor, bringing cohesion and warmth to the primary gathering spaces.
Master Bath & Powder Room
The primary ensuite underwent the most dramatic reimagining. Originally finished with carpet, a large tiled drop-in jacuzzi tub, and a dark enclosed shower with a low ceiling, the space felt heavy and inefficient. The new layout was designed to embrace the room’s generous windows and ceiling height, creating a much brighter and more open atmosphere.
A sculptural Elina freestanding tub now anchors the room as a focal point, replacing the oversized built-in tub and freeing up valuable floor space. The shower was expanded into a curbless design with a custom glass enclosure, eliminating visual barriers and allowing light to move freely throughout the room. The result is a clean, modern retreat that feels spacious, comfortable, and thoughtfully designed for daily use.
Kitchen
The kitchen renovation focused on improving flow and functionality while preserving the home’s beautiful view. By relocating a doorway and reworking the window configuration above the sink into one continuous landscape window, the space feels more open and connected to its surroundings.
A large waterfall island now anchors the room, creating both a visual statement and a central gathering place for everyday living and entertaining. With enhanced storage solutions and a more intuitive layout, the kitchen now supports how the homeowners cook, host, and spend time together, making it one of the most impactful transformations within the renovation.
